According
to a report by the thevoicebw.com, a businessman who is based in Gaborone, the
capital of Botswana has swindled scores of unsuspecting followers of TB Joshua
of over ₦13million.
Ishmael
Segoea, who claimed to be Prophet TB Joshua’s agent, left over 50 pilgrims hoping
to visit Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) broke, confused and stranded
after he collected their hard earned cash for a trip that never materialised.
Despite
several warnings from T.B Joshua through his Emmanuel TV channel for people to
avoid being duped by fraudsters posing as his agents, Segoea managed to collect
a cool P14, 000 (₦ 265,641.60) from each of the 50 pilgrims with the promise of
handling their travel arrangements to Nigeria.
The
money was meant for the purchase of air tickets and accommodation, he told the pilgrims.
When
it became obvious that the supposed trip to Nigeria was a sham, the victims
trouped to Segoea for a refund of their money; however they were greeted with
various excuses like “request to visit has been rejected by TBJoshua” and that “the
transport company AT&T Travel agent is refusing to release your tickets”.
Meanwhile
AT&T Director, Abel Monnakgotla said: “He (Ishmael Segoea) owed my company
over half a million pula. He came here last year and purchased travel tickets
claiming that he was going to come back same day to pay but he never did.
We
were looking for him until he resurfaced last week wanting to purchase tickets
for about 50 people.
As
soon as he paid we reminded him that he still owed us so we treated the money
as payment. It was P220 000 (₦4,174,368.00) which means he still owes us close
to P300 000 (₦5,692,320.00).”
The
case is being investigated by the Director of Intelligence and Security (DIS)
Isaac Kgosi.
“We
are still looking into the case and we will reveal details if need be when our
investigations are completed,” Kgosi said.
For a long time this man has posed as personal confidant of Prophet TB Joshua, and we had warned many Batswana but Ishmael went around showing people email communications with SCOAN and claiming TB Joshua always phones him even as late as midnight. There are 2 other ladies his wife Shirly included who tell people: they are representatives of the Man of God in Botswana yet they fleece desperate Botswana by withholding their funds for upto over a year investing it in their personal businesses. I ve over 15 people am aware of whose cash were taken over a year ago but no trip to SCOAN. Is this how people of God behave? Is Prophet TB Joshua represented by these crooks? We love Prophet TB Joshua and hope he publicly dissaciates himself from these crooks. Glory to Holy Ghost for exposing the crooks in Jesus' mighty name! Amen!
