The Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, DCOP Christian Tettey Yehonu has directed authorities of the Synagogue Church of all Nations to quit hosting revivals at their Spintex auditorium in Accra.
Speaking to Citi News, DCOP Yehonu noted that the stampede that occured at the weekend could have been avoided if the church had chosen a bigger venue to hold its events.

Pastor Chris and T.B Joshua are leaders of occults - Bishop Isaac Owusu Bempah

Pastor Chris and T.B Joshua are leaders of occults - Bishop Isaac Owusu Bempah

Bishop Isaac Owusu Bempah, Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, has labeled two of Nigeria’s celebrated pastors as partners in winning souls for the devil.
In the godly words of the controversial Owusu Bempah, the founding President of Believers' LoveWorld Incorporated also known as "Christ Embassy", Dr Christian Oyakhilome (popularly known as "Pastor Chris") and General Overseer of The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet Temitope Balogun (aka TB) Joshua, are not “true men of God” but leaders of occults, winning souls for the devil.
And this claim, according to Owusu-Bempah, is based on God’s revelation to him in a vision as well as his own analysis of the scripture, works and conduct of the two popular heads of two religious organisations in Africa.
Owusu-Bempah said he once heard Pastor Chris saying he saw nothing wrong with homosexuality and lesbianism and wondered which true man of God would lead his flock with such beliefs.
“No doubt he [Pastor Chris] is a friend and partner of TB Joshua”, Owusu-Bempa noted, claiming both men are dubious men of God who have a pact with the devil.
He was speaking with Okay FM’s Kwame Nkrumah Tikese last week.
For Owusu Bempah, Nigerians have allegedly realized the dubious character of the Nigerian

Prophet T.B. Joshua’s church service caused unprecedented traffic in Accra

Prophet T.B. Joshua’s church service caused unprecedented traffic in Accra
T.B. Joshua
Kiyo: A church programme by the founder and leader of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet T.B. Joshua in Accra Tuesday has caused an unprecedented traffic in the capital and virtually brought vehicular movement to a halt.
Thousands of worshipers flocked the church on the Spintex Road to be a part of the historic visit of the popular man of God who has millions of followers across the world.
As early as 2am Tuesday, the road to the church was choked with vehicles as people travel from as far as Benin into Ghana to see the Nigerian prophet. The situation attracted huge media attention.
However, some journalists who went to the area to report on the situation motorists describe as "chaotic" were detained for several hours by security personnel of the church.
Their crime, Emmanuel Anteh, a journalist with Joy News on Multi-TV, narrated to Myjoyonline.com, was that they did not seek permission before filming the chaotic situation at the church premises.
Due to the historic church service, the entire Spintex enclave has been swamped by a fleet of cars, causing heavy and unbearable traffic on an already traffic prone road.
Although the service was billed to start at 7am, reports say people started arriving as early as 2am.

Filo: A ‘prophet’ has come to town; what do you expect?

Jonathan did not buy plane for me, says Oritsejafor

Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor
Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor

Kiyo: NATIONAL President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, for the first time, publicly dismissed criticisms that continued to trail his acquisition of a private jet with some critics claiming that the gift may have come from the Presidency.
“Word of Life members miss me, my family misses me greatly and appreciating the trauma of connecting flights across the globe; they decided to constitute a committee to raise funds for the purchase of the jet. They reached out to some of my children in and out of the country who generously donated to the course,” he explained.
He maintained that over 90 per cent of the funds came from members of the church while the rest was donated by his spiritual children across the globe.

Filo: The clue to owning a private jet in Nigeria: be a pastor of a large congregation, let your members know it’s not easy connecting flights; soon or later, they would miss you and appreciate your trauma, before you know it, private jet don show!

Funsho Adeolu and wife, Iboro

Kiyo: In a programme organised in Lagos yesterday by the Redeemed Christian Church of God, G2G Parish with the aim of motivating the youth, top Nollywood actor, Funsho Adeolu, accompanied by his wife, Iboro opened up on the secrets of his success. Stating the obvious that hard work pays; Funsho maintained he cannot underestimate the effect of his closeness to God on his career and prayers from his wife whose parents are pastors in MFM.
He said ‘the mother is a pastor in MFM, the father is a pastor in MFM; that’s my wife’s parent. Everything around me is fire brand’
The actor who is seen by some as unmarried because of the way he shield his family from public glare, encouraged the youth to draw their strength from God, distinguishing between interest and talent. ‘There is a difference between interest and talent, if what you have for acting is interest, then the movie industry is not for you’ he said.
Also responding to a question on how ladies sleep their way to the top in Nollywood, Funsho citing the case of Genevieve maintained it is possible to get to the peak of Nollywood without sleeping with producers or directors.

Filo: Another pastor in the making, hey, the guy can sing too.

Pastor Oyakhilome, incorporates secret company for daughters in Caribbean Tax haven

Kiyo: Secret documents link family and associates of one of Africa’s most popular pastors, Nigerian televangelist the Rev. Chris Oyakhilome, to an offshore company in the British Virgin Islands.
A business associate of the pastor says some directors in the company held shares on behalf of the pastor’s daughters, Sharon and Charlyn, who are now teenagers.
The company in question is Gmobile Nigeria Limited, an offshore firm incorporated in 2007 in a Caribbean tax haven, the British Virgin Islands, according to a cache of documents reviewed by Premium Times and the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). The shareholders listed in the documents include Oyakhilome’s wife, Anita; another pastor in his organization, Thomas Amenkhienan; a business associate, Aigobomian Inegbedion; and another British Virgin Islands’ company, GTMT International Group Limited.

Filo: Also, documents reviewed by ICIJ and Premium Times show that Anita Oyakhihome held 17, 750 of Gmobile’s 50,000 shares, with Amenkhienan owning 1,500 and Inegbedion 750. The fourth shareholder, GTMT International, also a British Virgin Islands’ company, owned by South African investors, held 30,000 shares.
The documents show that some of these individuals held shares in trust for two minors. The records don’t identify the minors, but Inegbedion confirmed that the minors referred to in the documents were the Oyakhilomes’ daughters, quickly adding that there was nothing wrong with that.
“Their parents bought the shares for them because they have rights to own shares,” Mr. Inegbedion said. “A day-old child has a right to own shares in companies.” He declined to say which of Gmobile directors held shares in trust for the girls.

Kiyo: The issue I see here is the clandestine nature of floating the company and the element of ambiguity with respect to the shareholders, what do you think?
