The Bristol-born Amjad supplies royal families, governments, and minted customers across Russia, China and the Middle East with gold-plated devices that cost up to £50,000. Meanwhile, basic models in gold or rose gold cost from £3,000.
According to Ali, he is currently working on an order from the Nigerian government for 53 gold iPhones to mark the country’s 53rd year of independence from Britain next month.

Olu of Warri denies his Christian faith, retains traditional title

Olu of Warri denies his Christian faith, retains traditional title

After a protracted battle, the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse II, has denied his Christian faith, thereby retaining his “Ogiame” traditional title.
Despite an early Tuesday morning downpour in Warri, thousands of men, women and youth of Itsekiri stormed the streets in protest against the Monarch’s new-found Christian faith, compelling him to renounce his faith, and to retain his title.
The Monarch had on 4 September renounced the title on the ground that he had found a new life in Christianity and was born again; an action his people said was against their tradition.
The Itsekiri elders under the aegis of Itsekiri Elders and Leaders of Thought, after several hours of deliberations and consultations on Monday, had given the Olu of Warri 48 hours to rescind his declaration or abdicate the throne.

Farida Waziri was a disaster to Nigeria’s anti-corruption fight – Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has described the appointment of Farida Waziri, the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, as a wrong step in Nigeria’s fight against corruption.
Mr. Obasanjo said this in an exclusive interview he granted Zero Tolerance, a magazine produced by the EFCC.
The former president, whose administration established Nigeria’s two main anti-corruption agencies, the EFCC and the ICPC, said he was aware that former Delta State Governor and convicted money launderer, James Ibori, played a major role in Mrs. Waziri’s appointment.
“I know that the woman they brought in to replace Ribadu (Farida Waziri) was not the right person for that job, because I understood that one of those who head-hunted her was James Ibori.”

Yes, I will love to trade fame with some silent life that does not arrogate too much attention to one, but it has got nothing to do with any bad experience. No matter what you do or who you are, there’s always a difficult time and life challenges that you can’t run away from. But I will really love to trade because I wish to be a lawyer. That has always been my dream.
