“I have lost few jobs because of my line” – Julius Agwu Battles Etisalat
Julius Agwu is obviously mad
at one of Nigeria’s telcos, Etisalat – the comedian’s problem is multifaceted,
so is better you hear from the horse's mouth.
‘While
I was in America to see my new baby, I suddenly realized that my Etisalat
line was inactive. I couldn’t receive and make calls. I went to Etisalat office
in Hilton to complain and to discover what the problem was.
I
was told someone asked the company to swap my line. I got very worried
immediately and queried them. How could someone’s line get swapped without the
authorization of the owner? Even as the owner of the line, I would issue an
authorization letter to effect that. I was worried because I personally
registered the line and I told them I want to know the staff that granted the
request but they refused.

recent announcement by US that it has labeled Boko Haram a terrorist
organization, France said members of the Islamist group were being trained
in Mali.
France's foreign minister, citing
documentary evidence on Thursday, said that Boko Haram members were trained with
al-Qaida's North African branch in Northern Mali.
Speaking at a conference in
Morocco on security challenges in North Africa and the Sahel region to the
south, Laurent Fabius said Boko Haram's presence there demonstrated how jihadi
groups in Africa are interconnected and have to be fought on a regional level.

US Blacklists Boko Haram, Ansaru As Foreign Terrorist Organisations
The U.S. has designated
Nigeria’s Boko Haram and Ansaru militant groups as foreign terrorist
organisations.
The state department
described the move as “an important” step to help Nigeria “root out violent
extremism”.
“These designations are an
important and appropriate step, but only one tool in what must be a
comprehensive approach by the Nigerian government to counter these groups,” a
State Department statement said.
This means that the U.S.
justice system is now empowered to block all financial dealings or transactions
between America and these organisations.

The Thorium Car: A Car That Runs For 100 Years Without Refueling [VIDEO]
If your car was powered by
thorium, you would never need to refuel it. The vehicle would burn out long
before the chemical did. The thorium would last so long, in fact, it would
probably outlive you. That's why a company called Laser Power Systems has
created a concept for a thorium-powered car engine. The element is radioactive,
and the team uses bits of it to build a laserbeam that heats water, produces
steam, and powers an energy-producing turbine.

Scientists unravel biggest mystery of HIV
Scientists have finally
found a way to outsmart the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), or rather, its
ability to hide from the antibodies and immune cells. This is the quality that
makes HIV so dangerous. However, researchers were able to find a way to create
an effective cure for AIDS using the substance tacrolimus and finally win over
the dangerous disease.
The main difficulty against
the human immunodeficiency virus (responsible for such a scary disease as
acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) is that this malicious virus is completely
elusive for human immune system. One gets the impression that it has some kind
of invisibility power where antibodies cannot recognize it. A fairly strong
variability of the HIV protein is to blame. This is precisely why the immune
system is unable to develop antibodies that could "identify and
detain" the virus exiting the cell.

I can’t forget the very first day I made love to my wife – Captain Matthew Ekeinde
Captain Matthew Ekeinde in a
recent interview with Entertainment Express spoke about his 17-year-old
marriage to Omotola and also talked about his wife’s roles in movies.
Here is an excerpt;
What
is the secret of your 17 year old marriage to Omotola?
I won’t say we have been
good because I am a fine boy (laughs), but it is just the grace of God. I am so
lucky and also blessed by God to have married my God given partner. That is a
very important thing about marriage, you have to find and marry your God given
partner. That is why a lot marriages breakup. Some men marry women because of
their hips, their boobs, legs and some other side attractions. But after sex
with her so many times, what happens next? Does she have a good attitude,
character or good human relationship with others?
I’ll never return to Gov. Chime again – Wife
Mrs. Clara Chime on Monday
left the Government House in Enugu claiming she had been under pressure to
remain as wife of the Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime.
She said she would have
walked away from the marriage during the period Chime was sick and was away for
five months, but remained on “very compassionate grounds.”
Mrs. Chime said her thinking
was that the sickness would change the governor’s ways towards her but that he
got worse months after his return from cancer treatment abroad.
According to her, on many
occasions she attempted to leave but her family members, for pecuniary reasons,
insisted she stayed put.
She said even when it was
apparent that Chime no longer wanted the marriage, her family would not let her
go.
