What’s the secret to your success?

It’s been challenging but I give the glory to God because He has been faithful. It’s not been easy trying to climb the ladder of success. You encounter all kinds of challenges. A lot of people will love you and a lot would hate you. But so far I give Glory to God; I thank God for being there. He has always been my strength. I always run to Him when I have challenges

From the beginning of my life, I have been in the Christianity realm. If you listen to my songs very well, you will discover that 90 per cent of my songs have been about giving praises to God. I have always been closer to the Most High, but many have refused to see it that way.

Olawale beat five other finalists with his final performance of Asa’s song ‘Beautiful’ to clinch the grand prize of ₦5m, a brand new car and a recording contract.

Immaculate was named first runner-up, winning a cash prize of ₦3m and a car.

The third position was reserved for Margaret, who went home with ₦2m and a car; Eniola in the fourth position with ₦2m. Omolayo was fifth with ₦1m and in the sixth position was Roland with ₦500,000.

Army begins full scale operations in Kokori – Uduaghan

Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State said, yesterday, that the army had commenced a full-scale military operation at Kokori, the country home of arrested kidnap kingpin, Kelvin Aniarah, in Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state to flush out his associates and other criminals.

The governor, who addressed newsmen in Warri, DeltaState, yesterday evening, dismissed speculation that there was heavy casualties in the ongoing operation, saying one person was killed.

There was a report that many casualties had been recorded, which the governor debunked.

He stated that some Kokori people have questions to answer over the exploits of Kelvin.

Few hours before the governor spoke to journalists, some gun-toting bandits struck in Warri, killing a mobile police sergeant attached to the wife of a member of Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Dan Mayuku.

What is happening to Baba Fryo?

I am living a very simple life and trying to re-arrange myself since my last record label O’jez Music, frustrated me. I am trying to pick up myself again. If you listen to Peter Tosh in one of his songs he said: “I got to pick up myself, dust myself up, and start all over again.” So, I just want to start all over again as if I have not done music at all. I have some beautiful tracks right now. I will release one on air as a single.

A Brazilian animal lover, Ary Borges lives with seven tigers in his house, swim in his pool and even give his baby grand daughter rides on their back. He rescued two tigers from a circus and breed them, bringing the number to seven.

The father-of-three refuses to accept being so close to the 35-stone animals is dangerous and insists if he gives them respect, they will respond.

'I was never worried about my daughters co-existing with these animals. 'You have to show the animals respect and love - that's how you get it back from them.'

He and his daughters Nayara, 20, Uyara, 23, and Deusanira, 24, walk the tigers on leads and feed meat directly into their mouths.They even allow them into their kitchen during mealtime and let them lounge around the house.

FG Orders Private Jet Owners to Pay $4,000 Luxury Tax

The Federal Government has imposed a luxury tax on private jet owners and operators in the country.

As a result, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority has directed the owners and operators of private jets to pay the sum of $4,000 for every flight departure within the country.

According to a memo to all private jet operators, the NCAA ordered that Nigerian-registered private jets would henceforth pay the sum of $3,000 for every departure, while foreign registered private jets would pay $4,000 per departure.

Lagos Chief Judge sets 119 prison inmates free

Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Ayotunde Phillips, on Wednesday, released 119 awaiting-trial inmates from Kirikiri Maximum and Medium Security Prisons, Lagos.

The inmates, who have been awaiting trial for as long as 13 years, included 99 from medium prisons and 20 from maximum prisons with offences ranging from capital to minor.

Justice Phillips said the visit was aimed at decongesting the prisons and in exercise of the Chief Judge’s powers under Section 1 (1) of the Criminal Justice Release from Custody Special Provision Act, CAP C40, 2007, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria.

Earlier, the chief judge had released 279 inmates from the Kirikiri Maximum and Medium Security Prisons and Ikoyi prisons last year.
