Joselyn Dumas Talks about Her Role in Reality Series 'Lekki Wives'

Joselyn Dumas Talks about Her Role in Reality Series 'Lekki Wives'

Ghanaian TV host/actress, Joselyn Dumas is the latest addition to reality series, 'Lekki Wives' – she talks about her role in a recent interview with Ovation.
Here is excerpt;

How was filming on the set of the successful "Lekki Wives". Is working on TV in Nigeria dramatically different from Ghana?
No, we are so alike; we are cousins; Nigerians and Ghanaians are so alike, the only difference is our names.  I played a lead character role and I’m a new wife that has been introduced in this season.  It was very different, I wouldn’t say it was challenging as I’ve just come off and have learnt so much on the  ‘Adams Apples’ set.  I thank GOD for Shirley Frimpong-Manso as if she hadn’t given me that chance I would have sacked on "Lekki Wives’.  It was good, a great experience and I think that the only challenge that I have is I was trying to get some Nigerian words to roll off my tongue and it just wouldn’t roll (laughs heartily). That was the only challenge.

This time, she disses Ghana’s representative, Elikem for not comforting her after Angelo was evicted. “I really didn’t take kindly to the fact that you didn’t even have the decency to come to me to try and comfort me after Angelo was evicted,” she said.
Last week, Elikem was Head of House and saved himself from the eviction gallows and put Angelo up in his place instead. Could Beverly still be harbouring anger or resentment towards Elikem after the Swap? Beverly says no.

Beverly Makes Big Brother History, Sail into BBA finals with Melvin

Nigerian Chasemates Beverly and Melvin will sail to the Finale alongside Ghana’s Elikem and Zambian Cleo. After HoH Elikem made his final decision to save himself and swapped South Africa’s Angelo.
Beverly and Melvin are the last pair standing after all other countries lost one or both of their housemates to evictions during the course of The Chase.
Beverly is the only Housemate who made it to the Finale without having to face eviction throughout the Season. Melvin on the other hand also managed to dodge the dagger until Week 6 when he put himself up for possible eviction instead of swapping any of his fellow housemates who were nominated at the time. Luckily for him, Africa had his back and he was back to continue with The Chase.

BBA: Evicted Ghanaian Rep, Selly denies having infected Nando with STI

BBA: Evicted Ghanaian Rep, Selly denies having infected Nando with STI

Evicted Ghanaian representative in the ongoing BBA-The Chase reality show, Selly Ghalley has denied allegations made by Tanzania’s rep Nando that he contracted a sexually transmitted infection (STI) after having unprotected sex with her. Selly also disclosed plans to sue Tanzanian representative Nando soon.

This is contrary to what Nando told Bimp earlier; “You know I hate that . . . (Selly)! I’m bleeping frustrated because that . . . gave me an STD. That’s why my blood pressure was high yesterday,” Nando said.

According to Selly in a press conference yesterday, "all these things that I heard when I came out of the house, I was in the house and I didn't know about it so I couldn't defend myself.

As to the STI allegations that he is making, right now for me I'm just waiting for Nando to come out [so I can] ask him how he got the STI because I have been tested and I do not have any background of STIs/STDs so I do not know how Nando contracted the disease that he claims he has."

Rude Shock! Ugandan Denzel’s Landlady Hikes His Rent after Seeing Him on Big Brother

Rude Shock! Ugandan Denzel’s Landlady Hikes His Rent after Seeing Him on Big Brother

The 30-year-old Ugandan rep in the Big Brother-The Chase and also the very first Ugandan to be evicted from the reality TV show was in for a rude awakening when his landlord, a lady told him that rent for his apartment had been increased by Ugx200,000 - approximately $80.
“After just two weeks out of my house. I come back and inform her I will be moving back in and she wanted to increase my house rent by a stunning 200k!”
Denzel demanded to know why all of a sudden rent had increased!
The lady told him in his face: “Oh, I know you have money, I saw you on TV in South Africa”
This is when Denzel woke up and realised that he was not in the house anymore where the only thing to do was to relax in the Jacuzzi, sleep, drink, dance and massage.
It’s not clear if Denzel’s eviction to her meant that the Ugandan housemate had won but at least she is sure it was Denzel she saw on TV who must be loaded by virtue of the way he was playing the game.
His close pals advised him to just apply the avatar or better still do the massage moves that he pulled on Kenya’s Huddah Monroe while still in the Big Brother House.

Following that advice, Denzel just laughed it off. “Haha, thanks guys. Always good to be back home. Fuh real! Once you get used to the dust…you can’t live without it! haha”

Kenya’s “The Boss Lady” Huddah has been sent home in the latest round of evictions in Big Brother Africa -The Chase, leaving Annabel as the only Kenyan in Africa’s most popular reality series.
Only one week into the 91-day stay, Huddah was evicted unceremoniously in Sunday’s live show. Known for her strong personality, Huddah seemed to have few supporters in and out of the households, as the eviction results have shown.

Earlier, Uganda’s Denzel was also sent home; with Huddah’s eviction, we have twenty six housemates left in the reality show.

WAHALA: Miss Universe Canada Crowns Wrong Contestant Winner, Blames Typographical Error

WAHALA: Miss Universe Canada Names Wrong Contestant Winner, Blames Typographical Error

Miss Canada Universe announced that Denise Garrido of Ontario had been crowned the prestigious title on Saturday.
However, a mere 24 hours later, pageant organizers admitted that a typo had occurred, which led the brunette beauty to be erroneously ranked in first place.
The organizers attributed the mistake to "human error" and said that the results showed that Garrido had in fact landed the No. 4 spot, while Risa Santos of Alberta actually won the title of Miss Canada Universe.
After she'd learned that her hopes for a sash had been dashed, Garrido opened up to The Star about the heartbreaking news, "My heart sank. I was so sad."

But in true professional pageant form, Garrido has apparently taken the career-changing blow like, well, a champion.

Couple Stab Each Other Over 'American Idol' Winner

Cops say 48-year-old Karen Elaine Harrelson and 57-year-old Gregory Stambaugh were watching the singing competition show last week at Stambaugh's York home when suddenly an argument erupted between the pair as to which contestant should win the title — fight over Candice Glover and Kree Harrison (the two finalists).
The argument reportedly escalated when Harrelson took a knife out and stabbed her boyfriend. Stambaugh stabbed the woman in response to the attack.
According to York Police, the dispute between the couple was over "American Idol" finalists Candice Glover and Kree Harrison.
After the knife fight came to an end, both boyfriend and girlfriend were arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

BBA Update: I won’t fall in love – Nigerian Contestant, Beverly

The subject of discussion was “will you fall in love with anyone in the house?” - Nigerian contestant, Beverly let loose of the reason as to why she would not do so in the house and to why she is lost trust in love.
“I was in a relationship with this guy and I was close to marrying, but I broke up with him just because after fighting with ma parents over him, and with my friends too; I found out that he had not a single feeling and neither did he love me at all so I had to break up with this guy,” she said.
“For this”, she added “after all that this guy did to me, every guy that I meet and seem to fall in love with or any one that tells me is in love with me; I can never take him serious because all I know is that you guy will be chasing something and on getting it then you are going to leave the morning after that.”

Serious issue right?
