Ijaw National Congress Leader, Tari Sekibo Slumps, Dies in Yenagoa


President of the Ijaw National Congress, Senator Tari Sekibo, slumped and died in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital, on Monday.
Sekibo, who hailed from Okrika in Rivers State, was in the state to hold a meeting with his officials when he met his death.
Reason for his slumping and eventual death could not be ascertained as of press time.
The death of the Okrika chief has thrown the state and the government into a mourning mood as the scheduled meeting was cancelled.

The INC's boss’ corpse has been deposited at the morgue of the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa.

Sekibo, a Second Republic Senator, was elected INC president with 11 other executives in May, 2013, at a national convention in Yenagoa.
