The Mediterranean Design & Fashion Week commences today at the UNESCO World Heritage city of Noto (a city in the Province of Syracuse, Sicily, Italy), and the seven days event would run through the 9th of June, 2013.
Made
in Medi 2013, the seventh edition of the fashion event would feature Nigerian
designer, Nancy Nwadire of Iconic Invanity – Nancy would be exhibiting her
collection: colours, laces, embroideries, and clothes made with Ankara fabrics,
typical of the place of origin of the designer and her brand.
Nancy
Nwadire, an ex-model/beauty queen turned designer, was born in Uganda and
married to a Nigerian.
Other
African designers that will be showcasing their collection at the fashion week
are: Shahira Fawzy (Egypt), Said Mahrouf (Morrocco), Raja Rayes of Rujji
Collection (Libya).
