From France, she had planned to travel to Italy where she was scheduled to take another flight to Abuja.
Airports police boss Renatus Chalya told journalists the suspect was arrested after a screening machine detected drug pellets in her luggage.

Africa's richest man, Dangote plans Nigeria's largest oil refinery

A company run by Africa's richest man received a loan toward a $9 billion project that will give Nigeria its largest oil refinery and petrochemical and fertilizer complex, reducing the country's reliance on international markets.
Aliko Dangote, president of Dangote Group, signed a loan worth $3.3 billion from 12 Nigerian and international banks toward the project which will be built in Nigeria's southwest.
"At the completion of these projects we expect Nigeria to become not only self-sufficient in fertilizer and refined petroleum products but indeed to become recognized as a leading exporter of these products," Dangote said at Wednesday's signing.

Finally, BBA8 winner, Dillish accepts her Kenyan father

According to reports, Dillish's mother, Selma Pashukeni yesterday confirmed to SDE that Kenyan ex-soldier Abdi Galgalo Guyo is Dillish Matthew's real biological father.
Now all eyes have shifted to Dillish who had so far not seemed very receptive to him. In the past couple of days her tweets have been anything but positive, with her insistence that her father is Somali and not Kenyan.
This morning however, her tweets seem to have taken a turn. She tweeted that she was proud to be a Borana girl and that the Lord has given her what she was begging for.
Her icing on the cake was when she tweeted, “I am a mommy and daddy’s girl”!

AMAZING: Nigerian conjoined twins separated after 13-hour surgery in India [PHOTOS]

Nigerian conjoined twins separated after 13-hour surgery in Indian

Nigerian twins joined at the lower abdomen and hips were successfully operated upon and separated at the B.L. Kapur (BLK) super-speciality hospital after a 13-hour surgery.
The twin girls – Hussaina and Hassana Badaru shared their spinal cords, lower intestinal tract and genitourinary tracts. This meant that they had one common passage for fecal matter and another one for passing urine.
“The separation surgery took us 13 hours, with further surgery of five hours dedicated to reconstruction. The separation was a big challenge as they had unusual sharing of the alimentary canal and the nervous system,” said Prashant Jain, one of the experts performing the surgery.
“The girls were seven months old when they were brought to the BLK Hospital. They were suffering from ‘pygopagus’, a case in which the babies are joined at the sacral region and the hips. This is considered to be the rarest of rare case that occurs in 50,000 or 100,000 births,” said Praneet Kumar of BLK Hospital.

Marijuana, safer than painkillers — STUDY

Marijuana, safer than painkillers — STUDY

Believe it or not, but you could be safer ingesting marijuana - the most used illegal drug on Earth – than a prescription pain killer drug. Findings by a brand new first-of-its-kind global study conducted at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington, USA, showed that prescription pain killers, though legal, could be the deadliest drug of all.
A publication in The Lancet, revealed that marijuana, though often preferred to other illicit drugs of addiction such as cocaine, heroin and amphetamines are responsible for killing fewer persons than addictive painkillers such as Oxycontin and Vicodinbe.
Of a total of 78,000 drug deaths, prescription pain pills accounted for more than half. The study does not mention why marijuana has become the most popular drug, controversy over the legalisation of cannabis in some US states rages on.

Kerry Washington Covers Glamour Mag, Talks about her secret wedding to Nigerian Born NFL Player

Scandal and Django Unchained star Kerry Washington covers the October 2013 issue of Glamour Magazine. The movie star, who secretly tied the knot with Nigerian born NFL Player Nnamdi Asomugha, tells how she was able to pull off a wedding with no press around.

Below is an excerpt of the interview;

GM: OK, so relationships. In interview after interview, you always use the same phrase: “I don’t talk about my personal life.” I’m curious about the discipline that it requires to be so tight-lipped.
KW: I learned through experience that it doesn’t work for me to talk about my personal life. I’ve had earlier times in my career when I did talk about it. I was on the cover of a bridal magazine [InStyle Weddings, in 2005, when Washington was engaged to actor David Moscow]. But I couldn’t just turn around and say, “I only want to talk about the good stuff, but not the bad stuff.” So I just thought, OK, no more.

"Marrying Ayo Adesanya was like boarding a 'one-chance' vehicle” ex-husband says

"Marrying Ayo Adesanya was like boarding a 'one-chance' vehicle” ex-husband says

When asked what lessons he learnt from his relationship with his ex-wife, Movie producer cum actor Omogoriola Hassan told Encomium magazine that marrying actress Ayo Adesanya was like boarding a 'one-chance' vehicle.

Here is his comment un-edited.

"The biggest lesson I learnt was not to trust anyone. The person you trust may eventually disappoint. Then I was the greatest fool but today I am the wisest and happiest. Marrying Ayo then was like boarding a 'one-chance' vehicle. It was like I could never come across a woman I can love like that not knowing I was just being foolish. If not that she had a baby for me, I would have revealed a lot about her. Will just keep them to myself in the interest of our son. But I was agitated when I read that she wants to remove the tattoo on her hand bearing our logo - No Fear. She is free to do but what about the one on her ass where my name was written bold, Omogoriola Hassan? How is she going to remove that? That is stupid of her. If at all you don't like someone again, that doesn't mean you need to go to that extent. But believe me she's still thinking about me because if she's not she wouldn't be thinking about removing my tattoos on her body.”

Don’t blame Jonathan, Boko Haram started before him – Tanko Yakasai

Frontline northern politician and elder statesman, Alhaji Tanko Yakasai has stated that President Goodluck Jonathan should not be blamed for the growing activities of the Boko Haram sect in the country. He also buttressed that the emergence of Boko Haram could only be traced to former President, Late Yar’ Adua’s regime.
In further defence of Jonathan, he said the extremists had started terrorizing the country before Jonathan was elected president.
He dismissed the claims that the violent group would ceasefire if President Jonathan declares his intention not to run in 2015.
“Boko Haram started before Jonathan. Their leader was killed during the reign of Late Umaru Yar’adua. So, how can people attribute that situation to what is happening today,” he questioned.
